Why did I decide to start blogging?
Well the answer is pretty simple, I want to share with others different things I am trying. I enjoy cooking, working on different craft projects, and trying new things.
As a heads up what is going to be coming...I just bought a sewing machine! My mom taught me the basics of sewing when I was younger, I just hope I remember them. I have for a while wanted to learn how to quilt (if you know me you know I love blankets and quilts) and there is a member of my congregation who is willing to teach me! You better believe that once my sewing machine comes in I will be trying to do some simple projects to get to know my machine so I can learn how to quilt.
Also coming I plan on trying a new recipe at least once a week, if I like it and think it is worth passing on I will let you know about it. I bought a new grill/smoker about a month ago and when my family was in town last week we put it together; I am hoping to try smoking different meats and such. I also have found that I enjoy canning different fruits and vegetables, I have canned peaches, pasta sauce, peach honey, pickeled okra and cucumbers from my own garden.
